Dr. Gailin B Sebastian is Associate Professor and Interventional Cardiologist at Sahakarana Hrudalaya - Pariyaram Medical College in Kannur, Kerala. With an MD in General Medicine and a DM in Cardiology as his specialist qualifications, Dr. Sebastian has been working at this institution since September 2010. He also holds the titles of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).

Dr. Gailin Sebastian has a wide range of clinical and procedural skills in the field of Cardiology. He is adept at transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress test, pericardiocentesis, intra-arterial pressure monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and temporary pacemaker implantation. Dr. Sebastian has vast experience in a wide range of Interventional Cardiology procedures. He has performed over 3,700 coronary angiographies and about 2,000 coronary angioplasties via the trans femoral and trans radial routes, as primary operator over eight years up to December 2017. In addition, Dr. Sebastian has performed numerous peripheral angioplasty procedures, permanent pacemaker implantation (single and dual chamber), balloon mitral valvotomy, ASD/PDA device closure, carotid artery stenting, renal artery stenting, and automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD) implantation.
